hello. after much studying and learning Max, plus combing the net, i finally found out why i can’t use OSC with my monome on windowsXP: because WinXP Max/MSP doesnt come with externals for using OSC, and the monome Wiki only mentions the OSX externals. so, i found where to find those for Windows XP Max, for use in the Max/MSP version of Serialio: http://www.cnmat.berkeley.edu/OpenSoundControl/Max/
then, i made a version of the OSX OSC patch (found in the 40h_base). i also made a version of serial_40h.mxb with the OSC patch laoded. both have some explanations, which are also in the Wiki link below, about ports (i had to use differant port numbers than 8000 and 8080, for some reason they wouldnt work at first and 7000’s were working much better, although now 8080 for box in is working for me, but 8000 for box out is not still!).
hope this works well for everyone else, im finding it indespendible, especially since my previous patches for controlling the 50h via MIDI cause considerable CPU spikes in Reaktor (Reaktor has a wierd bug that causes bad CPU spikes when outputting alot of MIDI data – wierd and annoying!).
