- error message when ports can’t be acquired. (such as when serialio is running) right now it just quits

- for 2dslider, it’d be better to label the host/patterns as host1 pattern1, host2 pattern2 instead of host y pattern y because the second host doesn’t need to involve the y necessarily, it’s all int he $1 $2 ish, so maybe not even label them, just have two?
- when making a group of widgets, would it be possible to make a “group settings” where you can re-arrange the defaults for the whole group? like highlight a bunch of junk, create a press, then there’s a group edit view where you can enter a pattern (the default pattern is the same) and have that be copied to all? this is where $row $column would make sense to be
- input OSC? i think we drew this up in the spec, but we should re-discuss it

- when I create a vertical 1d slider, it asks me for the min X and max X, and not min Y and max Y (could be solved by simply calling the 1d slider values min and max instead of min X and max X).
