beat_step is a new version of my original Box_Step ensemble. it is almost the same thing, but with some added frills (and i removed the FM part as i dont use it much anymore). included is a modified, simplified version of the BeatLookup Effect, by Chris List the button mappings are on the B view: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum_us/showthread.php?t=33331
also, i added a probability knob, i the sequencer GUI section. this determines the chance of a random roll or a beat having a random triggering delay, which helps add some variation for a short 8-bar loop.
i hope you Monome/Reaktor fans like this, as this is the direction i am pursuing, my next effort will be soemthing that lets you make long patterns by using the box to turn steps on/off on a 2-bar, 1-bar, 1/2 bar and 1/4 bar view that is stacked together and randomly selected from. should be pretty cool, keep a lookout for it!
