this app takes samples and plays back random portions of them in 16th notes based on a selected section of the sample. the phrases are ‘saved’ and repeated until a new section is selected, or until the ‘new pattern’ button is pressed.
there are 4 ‘decks’, each allowing transposition in semitones. volume, panning, and envelope length for each can also be controlled. the monome allows gating on and off of each 16th note using mapd.
there’s a rewire version also, which essentially just gets its tempo and start/stop information from the host.

i’m fairly new to max, and this patch is admittedly a little clunky. if anyone’s into the idea enough to take it to the next level, that would be incredible.
