each column is a cyclic note pulse with its own speed and width.

pushing a button within a row sets both the speed and width (fast speed, short width towards top; slow speed, long width towards bottom).

push a button, hold, push another button to first set speed, then width. (first press is speed, second push is width).

route the midi out at the bottom to something like simplesynth.

set the notes with the keyboards. you can turn off / pause columns with checkboxes on the left.

set the base speed at the top. the ratio number is difference between speed steps (the 8 levels).
